The first step on the pathway to becoming a U.S. permanent resident through the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is to file your Form I-526.
Form I-526 Immigrant Petition for Alien Entrepreneur is a 13-page form to be filed with the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS).
This can be a very tedious step as it requires an investor (along with their immigration attorney) to compile and submit a substantial amount of information and evidence.
The information the Form I-526 requires includes:

This includes general information about the JCE such as address and type of entity.
5. Employment Creation Information
This includes information about your position in the NCE, how many jobs will be created, and what types of jobs will be created.
6. Processing Information
This includes information about your country of origin, last permanent residence, immigration proceedings, and employment history in the U.S.
7. Information on Petitioner’s Spouse and Children
This includes general family member information.
8. Statement, Contact Information, Declaration, Certification, and Signature of the Petitioner our Authorized Signatory
9. Interpreter’s Contact Information, Certification and Signature
10. Contact Information, Declaration, and Signature of the Person Preparing This Petition, If Different Than The Petitioner
11. Additional Information
This provides a space for the petitioner or preparer to include additional information that did not fit in the spaces provided on the form.
A breakdown of the evidence for Form I-526 that will need to be included:
1. Proof that you’ve made your investment into a new commercial enterprise, or that you’re in the process of making the investment.
2. Evidence that the new commercial enterprise is located in a targeted employment area and therefore qualifies for the lower investment amount.
3. Documentation showing the management role or policy making position you will have in the NCE.
4. Evidence that your investment came from lawful sources of funds.
5. Proof that the your EB-5 investment will create the required number of jobs.
